ATHERTON, Calif. – Six consecutive wins by decision to end the dual pushed No. 9-ranked Menlo (Calif.) past Southern Oregon, 28-9, on Friday afternoon at Haynes-Prim Pavilion.

The Raiders' highest-ranked individuals protected their standings. Evan Potter, the NAIA's No. 2-ranked 133-pounder, pinned No. 17 Jovan Garcia in the first round to remain perfect on the season at 12-0. Aaron Gandara, No. 6 at 149, outlasted No. 11 Christopher Gaxiola for a 4-2 decision that made him 9-4.

There was little else going for the Raiders as five nationally-ranked Oaks and three others triumphed. At 174, No. 25 Maximus Zamora upset No. 11 Alex Hernandez, 7-5.

The Oaks went to 8-2 in dual action, and the Raiders to 6-2.

SOU will remain in Atherton on Saturday to compete in the Menlo Invitational.
