ASHLAND – Junior right-side hitter
Hannah Stadstad extended her torrid stretch as No. 16 Southern Oregon swept Warner Pacific for the second time this season, 25-20, 25-16, 25-15 on Friday night at Lithia Motors Pavilion.
Stadstad, a lefty from Albany, matched a career high for the second time in as many outings with 16 kills, needing just 23 attacks to do so with one error for a .652 average. She has totaled 110 kills and only 27 errors over SOU's last nine matches, hitting .432 during that span.
The latest performance made the Raiders 18-5 overall and 11-4 in the Cascade Conference, giving them sole possession of third place. It was supplemented by junior outside hitter
Marin Mackey, who led the team efficiently for the second match in a row with 17 kills on 32 attempts.
The Raiders attacked at a .426 average as a team, their second-highest clip of the season. Senior middle
Sadie Byrd upped it with five kills on six swings in her only set of action.
Megan Perry had six.
Vitoria Mattos starred at setter with 25 assists and a pair of service aces.
Annie Hite assisted 20 more of SOU's 50 kills, and
Kayla Neidigh led the team with 10 digs.
Autumn Gaboury-Parker notched 11 kills and Alyssa Asuncion recorded 10 digs to pace the Knights, who fell to 1-21 and 1-14. They've lost 21 consecutive matches against the Raiders, 14 of which have ended in straight sets.
