COMPLETE RESULTS

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – In a crowd of NCAA Division I runners, Southern Oregon freshman Mason Weisgerber impressed again by taking 36th place in the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Saturday morning at Baylands Park.

Weisgerber completed 8,000 meters in 24 minutes 25.4 seconds in the 17-team, 150-person field as the Raiders raced for the first time in three weeks. The No. 15-ranked Raider men produced two additional top-100 finishers: 65th-place Frankie Maciel (24:52.9) and 89th-place Jalen Griego (25:18.7). They were 12th in the team standings, in front of five D1 schools.

The No. 7-ranked Raider women were led by 86th-place Alejandra Lopez in a 187-person, 21-team field. Lopez ran 6K in 21:59.1, and three more Raiders were within 40 seconds of her: 106th-place Lauren Forster (22:12.6), 120th-place Cammeo Ramirez (22:34.2) and 123rd-place Alyssa Johnson (22:38.6). They finished 18th in the team standings.

SOU has one more competition ahead of the Cascade Conference Championships, next Saturday at the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic in Ashland, Neb.
