ASHLAND – Southern Oregon men's soccer goalkeeper Casey Ruvolo was voted the Cascade Conference's Rize Laboratory Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Ruvolo made three saves in No. 25-ranked SOU's 3-0 win over Oregon Tech on Friday at Raider Stadium. It was the fifth clean sheet he and the Raiders have turned in over their last six games.

At 13-2 overall and 9-1 in the CCC, they can clinch their first regular season championship since 2018 by winning two of their final three games. They host Evergreen (Wash.) on Sunday and Northwest (Wash.) on Monday in Ashland, starting both contests at noon.

Ruvolo, a sophomore from New River, Ariz., tops the CCC leaderboard in conference play in both goals-against average (0.32) and save percentage (.903). He and the Raiders have blanked nine opponents this season.
