ASHLAND – Southern Oregon running back Avery McCuaig was voted the Frontier Conference's Erck Hotels Football Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after a career-best performance in Saturday's 23-5 win at Rocky Mountain (Mont.).

McCuaig, a senior from Calgary, Alberta, rushed 18 times for 132 yards and three touchdowns against the Battlin' Bears, doing all of his scoring in the first half. He more than doubled up his previous high rushing total and accumulated 41 yards on his longest carry.

McCuaig also shot to the top of the Frontier's rushing TD leaderboard, bringing his season total to eight. He has found the end zone in each of SOU's last four games and now has a pair of three-TD outings.

He wasn't the only Raider running back to get loose. Isaiah Hidalgo totaled 148 yards and needed just 14 carries to do so.

The win brought SOU to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in FC play entering Saturday's 1 p.m. game against Arizona Christian at Raider Stadium.
