LA GRANDE – No. 12-ranked Southern Oregon is into the semifinals of the Cascade Conference Championships presented by U.S. Bank and faces a quick turnaround after eliminating Bushnell 25-15, 15-25, 25-18, 25-19 on Friday morning at Quinn Coliseum.

The Raiders (26-5 overall), seeded No. 3 in the tournament, will bring an 11-match winning streak into a 4 p.m. contest against No. 7-ranked and No. 2-seeded Corban. The winner advances to Saturday's 3 p.m. championship match.

Facing the No. 6-seeded Beacons (16-2) for the second time in less than a week, the Raiders got the same result with a .274 attacking average bumped up by Megan Perry. The junior right-side hitter had 17 kills on 26 attempts without an error, and she assisted three of SOU's 11 blocks.

Marin Mackey (14 kills, 8 digs, 3 blocks), Hannah Stadstad (13 kills, 3 blocks) and Sadie Byrd (4 kills, 7 blocks) – who along with Perry were named all-conference selections Thursday – were also featured prominently in a well-rounded effort. Vitoria Mattos had 24 assists and the Raiders got 28 digs combined from Kayla Neidigh (17) and Trinity Atuatasi (11).

After dropping the second set, they were tied at 16 in the third when they swung the match with six straight points. Perry recorded four kills during the run, finishing off three rallies in a row at one point.

The Beacons ended their season at 16-12, dropping a trio of four-setters to SOU. They got 11 kills from Halle Neumann but hit only .135.

SOU's semifinal against Corban represents a rubber match after the Raiders pulled off an upset in a tiebreaker Friday in Salem. The teams' first matchup went to Corban after SOU lost a 2-1 lead.
