BUTTE, Mont. – The No. 6-ranked Montana Tech men's basketball team led from start to finish of a 78-61 win against Southern Oregon in the final game of the Diggers' Tip-Off Classic on Saturday night at Kelvin Sampson Court.
Six different players scored eight or more as part of a 51-percent shooting performance for the Diggers, who ran their record to 5-0. Forward Ifeanyi Okeke had 14 points and seven rebounds, and Asa Williams scored 14 with 4-of-7 marksmanship from 3-point range.
They went 17-of-31 as a team in the first half to take a 46-25 lead into the break.

Mason Whittaker scored nine points apiece to lead the Raiders (1-3). They trailed by double figures six minutes into the game and never recovered.
The Raiders are off until their home debut Nov. 22 against Cal Maritime, which tips off at noon. It's their final nonleague game before opening Cascade Conference play against top-ranked College of Idaho on Dec. 1 in Ashland.
