FOREST GROVE – The Southern Oregon men's and women's wrestling backups were in action Sunday at Pacific's Mike Clock Open, where freshman Fernanda Lopez notched a 116-pound title.

Lopez went 4-0 for the Raider women, defeating her first three opponents 31-10 combined. In the 116 final, she pinned Simon Fraser's Maddie Mackenzie in 2 minutes 25 seconds.

Karly Scott contributed a second-place finish at 101 by going 1-1, and Desi Matheny claimed third at 171 by pinning four opponents in five matches. Three more Raiders placed fourth: Diamond Lopez (101), Briseis Serrano (116) and Quilaztli Miguel-Lapham (155).

The Raider men got a fourth-place effort from heavyweight Sebastian Echeverria, who went 5-2 at the tournament. Jacob Sieminski (141), Greg Guzman (149) and Shaiden Carr (165) took sixth. Guzman won six consecutive consolation matches after dropping his tournament opener, then opted out of the final rounds.
