DES MOINES, Iowa – The No. 3-ranked Southern Oregon women's wrestling team was the only team to come away with a trio of champions as 101-pounder Esthela Trevino, 123-pound Carolina Moreno and 170-pounder Joye Levendusky triumphed Saturday at the Grand View Open.

Eight of SOU's 14 participants placed among the top-five in their respective weight classes. Natalie Reyna (109) was a runner-up, Bella Amaro (136) and Emily Se (143) took third, Grace Kristoff (191) placed fourth and Bailey Dennis (155) was fifth.

Trevino, ranked No. 3 in the NAIA at 101, took down No. 2 Erin Hikiji of Providence (Mont.) by 10-6 decision in her final. She scored three consecutive technical falls to get there, defeating Menlo (Calif.)'s Angelique Cervantes, Northern Michigan's Trinity Valentin, and Life (Ga.)'s No. 16 Devyn Gomez, all by way of shutouts.

Moreno, the top-ranked defending NAIA champion at 123, defended her billing with five wins, including a 5-0 decision over Grand View (Iowa)'s No. 4 Catharine Campbell in the championship. She started the day with a 6-2 win over Missouri Baptist's No. 16 Karoline Ortiz and a first-round pin over Augustana (S.D.)'s Sandie Pfeil. She won by 10-0 technical fall against GVU's No. 6 Maya Davis in the quarterfinals and by 4-1 decision against Adrienna Turner in the semis.

Levendusky, ranked No. 2 at 170, had a dominant day that she finished with a 10-3 decision against GVU's No. 6 Shenita Lawson. Before that, she sandwiched 10-0 technical falls over Iowa Central C.C.'s Briana Araujo Batista and Springs Studio Academic's Rose Cassioppi with a first-round pin of Kamila Montenegro.

The No. 4-ranked Reyna recorded two pins and a decision before dropping the 109 final 6-0 to unattached Mia Palumbo. Amaro went 3-1 with two technical falls, and Se was 4-1 with two pins and a tech.
