ASHLAND – Southern Oregon goalkeeper Casey Ruvolo was voted the Cascade Conference's Rize Laboratory Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after turning in two clean sheets over the weekend.

Ruvolo, a sophomore from New River, Ariz., made a career-high eight saves in the Raiders' 2-0 win at defending champion Warner Pacific on Friday, giving the Knights their first shutout loss in 30 CCC regular season games. He made six more to preserve Saturday's 1-0 victory at Multnomah, lifting the Raiders to a 2-0 start in conference play.

Ruvolo has played every minute in goal for the Raiders (6-1 overall) while maintaining a save percentage of .837. He's posted four shutouts.

SOU is home for the first time this week, playing Corban on Friday and Bushnell on Saturday at Raider Stadium. Both matches start at noon.
