ASHLAND – Meghan McIntyre rescued No. 20-ranked Southern Oregon from the depths of Warner Pacific's upset bid, keying a game-ending 20-2 run in a 48-40 Cascade Conference win Saturday afternoon at Lithia Motors Pavilion.

Trailing at one point by 13, the Raiders (10-3 overall, 6-1 CCC) survived a 30-percent shooting display by limiting the Knights (6-6, 4-4) to eight points in the second half.

WPU held a 38-28 lead with a minute left in the third when McIntyre began the charge by taking a rebound coast-to-coast for a transition layup, coming up with a steal seconds later that she turned into another layup, and ending the quarter with a pair of free throws. She compiled 12 of her 18 points during the run and added five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The Knights missed 12 of their 13 field-goal attempts and turned the ball over six times in the fourth quarter, where they were outscored 14-2. They made three buckets and two free throws over the final 22 minutes of action.

Clara Robbins sparked SOU's defense with 11 rebounds, five blocked shots and two steals. Kami Walk chipped in 11 points, seven rebounds and a block.

The Raiders' point total was their lowest in a win since the 1982-83 season. McIntyre bailed them out with her 11th consecutive double-digit game; the junior point guard has averaged 20.5 over her last four.

Warner Pacific's leading scorer, Teirra Hicks, had as many points (9) as she did turnovers. The Knights shot 17-of-56 as a team.

SOU is on the road next weekend to face No. 7-ranked Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) – the only other one-loss team in the standings behind first-place Oregon Tech – and 10th-place Walla Walla (Wash.).
