HELENA, Mont. – Southern Oregon's reserves combined to pour in 50 points in the team's third consecutive win to start the season, an 82-61 rout of Montana State-Northern on Friday evening at the Delta Marriott Classic.
Junior forward
Joe Juhala scored 17 on 5-of-7 shooting and hit all three of his 3-pointers in the first half, pushing the Raiders to a 41-26 lead at the break.
Gabe Reichle, a graduate-transfer point guard from University of Oregon, joined him off the bench with 16 points on 6-of-8 accuracy, three steals and three more 3-pointers.
Khalil Chatman came on to record 10 points and six rebounds.
The Lights (1-2), members of the Frontier Conference, were bogged down by a Raider defense that forced a 9-of-25 effort in the first half. SOU had advantages of plus-six on the offensive glass and plus-four in the turnover department, generating 13 more field-goal attempts.
SOU took advantage with 47% shooting, including 10-of-27 marksmanship beyond the arc.
Liam Clark went 4-of-5 to score 11 points to go with six rebounds and two steals.

The Raiders were up 26-11 by the eight-minute mark of the first half. They led by double digits the rest of the way.
They're off to a 3-0 start for the first time since the 2016-17 ahead of Saturday's 7 p.m. PST matchup against Carroll (Mont.), which defeated No. 16 Oregon Tech last week.
Jack Reardon scored 17 points to lead MSU-Northern.
