COMPLETE TOURNAMENT RESULTS

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Emma Baertlein placed second at 110 pounds and Marissa Kurtz took third at 117 for the No. 9-ranked Southern Oregon women's wrestling team at the Battle of the Rockies Open on Saturday.

Baertlein, who owns the NAIA's No. 3 ranking in her weight class, reached the 110 final with a pin and back-to-back technical falls. She lost by 6-5 decision to No. 4 Paige Morales of Providence (Mont.) for the title.

Kurtz, ranked No. 10 at 117, went 5-1 with three technical falls and a pin on the day. After dropping her quarterfinal, she won four consecutive consolation matches, including a 6-1 decision over Providence's Isabelle Asuncion in the third-place match.

Malia Welch (117) and Sariah Zepeda (160) checked in with fifth-place efforts. Diamond Lopez (103) was sixth.

The Raiders compete next on Nov. 17 at Pacific's Mike Clock Open.
