PARK CITY, Kan. – The Southern Oregon women's wrestling team left the NAIA Championships with five top-six All-Americans and the No. 7 spot in the standings Saturday at Park City Arena.

Senior 131-pounder Carolina Moreno concluded her decorated career in fourth place, leading the Raiders for the fourth consecutive season after capturing titles in the first three. Senior Emma Baertlein (110 pounds) and junior Jasmine Howard (117) both won their fifth-place matches, while Lillian Gradillas-Flores (180) and Kat Hingano (207) took sixth in their brackets.

Life (Ga.) ran away with the team title with 190 ½ points, outscoring second-place Grand View (Iowa) by 70. An 0-4 showing in the semifinals took the Raiders out of contention for a top-four trophy; they finished with 79 ½ points, six more than eighth-place Texas Wesleyan.

Though Moreno was stopped short of a four-peat, she'll depart as the greatest wrestler in program history and with a 111-9 career record. Her winning streak ended at 66 matched in the 131 semis, where No. 5 seed Jumoke Adekoye of Dickinson State (N.D.) broke a third-period tie by pushing her out of bounds en route to a 3-1 victory. Moreno bounced back with a technical fall in the consolation semis before dropping her third-place match to the No. 2 seed.

Baertlein's third All-America performance ended with a 3-0 shutout of No. 8 seed Alexsys Jacquez from Saint Mary (Kan.). Howard finished her debut season at SOU with a 7-4 defeat of her former teammate, Texas Wesleyan's Camille Fournier, in her fifth-place match.

Gradillas-Flores – who was unseeded at 180 – started the day with her fourth consecutive consolation victory to lock up a top-six spot before losing her last two matches. Hingano, the No. 2-seeded freshman at 207, lost 7-0 to the No. 3 seed in the semifinals and later fell to sixth.

The Raiders have ended top-eight nationally each of the last six postseasons.
