No. 4 RAIDER WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (8-0, 2-0)
5:30 p.m. Saturday – at Oregon Tech (6-2, 2-0) | Stream | Stats
Headlines: Southern Oregon stayed at No. 4 in Wednesday's latest
NAIA Top 25 poll following back-to-back wins on its Cascade Conference-opening road trip, 65-55 at College of Idaho and 72-59 at Eastern Oregon. The Raiders will put their unbeaten record on the line in a key clash at Oregon Tech, which remains formidable even after losing All-American guard Olivia Sprague to injury a minute into the season. The Owls have three All-CCC players left over – point guard Gabbie Gascon (13.9 points, 3.5 assists), wing Tatum Schmerbach (11.5 points, 6.9 rebounds) and forward Maddyson Tull (6.8 points, 4.0 rebounds) – and will pit one of the conference's biggest lineups against an SOU team getting increasingly strong play from its backcourt.
Meghan McIntyre (10.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 3.4 steals) is directing the eighth-most efficient offense in the NAIA, and
Bridgette McIntyre (11.5 points, 24-of-52 3FG) has shot 64% from 3 over the team's last four games. The play of forward
Morgan Baird (14.7 points) will be key against OIT's size. She currently leads the CCC with a 61% clip from the field.
RAIDER MEN'S BASKETBALL (5-3, 0-2)
7:30 p.m. Saturday – at Oregon Tech (5-3, 1-1) | Stream | Stats
Headlines: The Raiders are getting three of the four toughest road games on their schedule out of the way off the bat in CCC play, having already traveled to No. 2 College of Idaho and lost at Eastern Oregon in the final minute last week. A favorable schedule awaits them in January – when they'll finally play their first home game – and February, but they'd help their cause dramatically by stealing a win at OIT this week. The Owls, who dropped out of the
Top 25 this week, have essentially the same team they've trotted out for the last several years, with a few tweaks. Led by point guard Jamison Guerra (13.8 points, 6.1 assists), they start four guards who have been featured prominently since 2020-21. SOU leading scorer
Elijah Jackson (12.6 points, 2.5 assists) is coming off a career-high 20-point performance at EOU.
No. 8 RAIDER MEN'S WRESTLING (10-0)
