ASHLAND – Southern Oregon got 63 points from its reserves and cruised to a 100-53 win against Walla Walla (Wash.) in a Cascade Conference matchup Friday afternoon at Lithia Motors Pavilion.
The Raiders (16-11 overall, 14-7 CCC) shot 56 percent from the field and 15-of-36 from 3-point range, ensuring they'll enter Saturday's 5 p.m. regular-season finale against Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) in fourth place. LC State has already clinched the No. 2 seed for the CCC Tournament thanks to Friday's 97-84 win at Oregon Tech.
Bryce Dyer and
Brady Rice finished with 12 points apiece,
Casson Rouse scored 11 and
Theo Reid had seven points, five rebounds and four blocked shots to lead the bench unit.
Brett Hollins, the only Raider starter to play more than 13 minutes, went for seven points, 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block.
Teron Bradford sat the second half after going for 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting in the first.
Cole McAninch scored nine in the same stint. They helped the Raiders build a 51-17 advantage in the opening 16 minutes.
The Raiders improved their home record to 9-1 in CCC play. The 3-point total was their highest since mid-December. Rouse hit three, while Bradford,
Elijah Jackson and
Mason Whittaker both stroked two.
Andrew Vaughan and Steele Twiford both scored 13 points for the Wolves (5-21, 4-17). They shot 30 percent as a team.
