Curtiss, Moffat star in SOU's sweep of Warner Pac

ASHLAND – Southern Oregon climbed back to .500 in the Cascade Conference by keeping Warner Pacific winless with a 25-13, 25-9, 25-11 sweep on Saturday night at Lithia Motors Pavilion.

Friley Curtiss dropped in 11 kills on 22 attacks and Amanda Moffat notched 16 assists over just two sets of work for the Raiders (10-11 overall, 7-7 CCC), who have won four of their last five matches.

Duda Leite and Lanie Snow both assisted three of the Raiders' six blocks. They sunk the Knights (0-15, 0-14) to a negative-.074 attacking average that was the lowest for any SOU opponent in conference play this season.

Leite also went for eight kills, and Andressa Ribeiro Soares had seven without an error to go with a match-high 18 digs. Annie Hite contributed 14 assists and four digs. The middles – Snow, Bella Cormack and Tessa Zimmermann – combined for 10 kills and no errors, leading the Raiders to a .368 attacking average.

Naomi Johnson had a team-high four kills on six swings for WPU.

The Raiders have swept their last nine matchups with the Knights and defeated them in 25 consecutive meetings.

They're tied with College of Idaho – which they visit next weekend along with Eastern Oregon – in seventh place with six regular-season matches to go, and just one match in the loss column out of fifth place.
