ASHLAND – Southern Oregon goalkeeper Brittany Standley on Monday was voted the McDonald's Cascade Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network.

Standley played a key part last Friday in the Raiders' 3-2 upset of No. 4-ranked College of Idaho, which ended the Yotes' CCC winning streak at 32 games. She faced 22 shots and made a career-high eight saves, including five in the second half.

The Bakersfield, Calif., product was also stellar in Saturday's 2-1 loss at Eastern Oregon, allowing the Mountaineers' only goals on a pair of penalty kicks.

On the season, her save percentage of 81.6 is the third-best in the circuit and her goals allowed average of 0.75 ranks second.

Standley and the Raiders (9-2-1 overall, 6-1-1 CCC) are second on the CCC table in terms of win percentage heading into their final regular-season homestand. They play Corban on Friday and Bushnell on Saturday, starting both games at noon.
