Headlines: Southern Oregon's demanding non-conference slate continues this week at the Western Classic in Dillon, Mont., against the teams picked to finish first and second in the Frontier Conference: No. 11-ranked Montana Tech and Montana Western. Led by reigning FC Player of the Year Hayden Diekhans, a 6-foot-6 small forward, the Orediggers will attempt to pay SOU back for a first-round upset in the 2025 NAIA National Tournament after opening last week with an 86-83 win against Eastern Oregon. The Raiders will look to sharpen up after debuting with a 75-62 loss at Oregon Tech, where 20 turnovers spoiled Elijah Jackson's 29-point, five-assist performance.

Headlines: They'd need a little help to get it done, but after being picked to finish fifth in the Cascade Conference preseason poll the Raiders enter the final weekend of the regular season with a chance to win a championship. Ahead of matchups with the 10th- and last-place teams in the standings, the Raiders are two points behind first-place College of Idaho – which closes at pesky Northwest (Wash.), the same team that forced a draw at SOU last month – and one point ahead of third-place Eastern Oregon. Whatever happens, the Raiders have placed themselves firmly in the national postseason conversation with their best-ever record through 14 games. They received NAIA Top 25 votes again this week, moving up to No. 29 overall.

Headlines:
The follow-up act to a historic 34-1 season begins for Southern Oregon in Butte, Mont., at the Peggy Sarsfield Basketball Weekend against a pair of Frontier Conference opponents. The No. 15-ranked Raiders will break in a new-look rotation and put a 42-game regular-season winning streak on the line, starting with a Montana Tech team that received votes in the preseason Top 25 after advancing to last season's NAIA Tournament. SOU will play six of its eight non-conference games on the road but is in Ashland next week to face The Master's (Calif.) on Nov. 6 and Simpson (Calif.) on Nov. 7. Headlines:
With two games left in the regular season, the Raiders could still end up anywhere from third to ninth place on the Cascade Conference table. They're currently locked in a three-way tie for sixth and need to remain in the top eight to have a spot in next week's CCC Tournament. Getting healthy would be a big boost for the Raiders' postseason outlook: four of their top-five in points were unavailable for at least parts of last weekend, an issue that has led to them being shut out three times during their four-game winless streak. Irwin Leon returned to the lineup on Saturday and enters this weekend with a team-high nine goals and three assists.

Headlines:
First-year head coach Katlyn Monroe will bring her team to Atherton, Calif., for its 2025-26 debut. The Raiders came in at No. 9 in the NAIA preseason poll and have eight nationally-ranked individuals, including returning All-Americans Lia Ferreira (103 pounds), Jasmine Howard (117), Lillian Gradillas-Flores (180) and Kat Hingano (180). That core led the Raiders to a seventh-place finish at last season's national tournament, and their large crop of newcomers will get a chance to establish themselves in one of the most loaded tournaments the West Coast has to offer.
