MEDFORD Abby McKean and the Southern Oregon women's soccer team made more program history in a businesslike 3-1 quarterfinal victory against Northwest (Wash.) on Saturday morning in the Cascade Conference Championships presented by U.S. Bank at Wheeler Field.

McKean became the first Raider ever to score two goals in a tournament game, notching her 13th and 14th of the season in the sixth and seventh minutes. They propelled the No. 2-seeded Raiders as they improved to 14-2-1 overall, establishing a new SOU single-season wins record.

Tori Lasch and Payton Puppe-Wotipka were credited with assists on McKean's scores, which boosted her to the No. 2 spot on the program's single-season goals list. After Sara Becerra got the No. 7-seeded Eagles within a goal in the 66th minute, Kaylah Bresee put them away by converting a penalty kick in the 86th.

The Raiders moved on to play No. 3-seeded Eastern Oregon in the semifinals at 1 p.m. Monday. A win would put them in the CCC title game for the first time ever. The Mountaineers – who were responsible for SOU's only regular-season conference loss – defeated Oregon Tech, 3-2, in their quarterfinal.

The Eagles had forced a draw with SOU in their regular-season matchup. They were outplayed throughout the playoff rematch as the Raiders put up a 24-9 advantage in shots.

The Raiders had been winless in their previous six games against NU.

They got more good work from CCC co-goalkeeper of the year Brittany Standley, who made eight saves. The back line, including Puppe-Wotipka and Bresee, also factored heavily into the attack. Bresee's goal was her fifth.

Top-seeded College of Idaho – which survived its postseason opener in overtime – will meet No. 4 seed Rocky Mountain (Mont.) in the other semifinal.
