OLYMPIA, Wash. – The No. 15-ranked Evergreen State (Wash.) women's wrestling team took six consecutive weight classes to top No. 11 Southern Oregon 26-19 in the teams' first-ever matchup on Saturday at the Costantino Recreation Center.
In their 2025-26 dual debut, the Raiders got an upset at 110 pounds from No. 14-ranked
Briseis Serrano, who won a 6-0 decision against No. 8 Nizhoni Tallman, before the Geoducks started their streak.
Kat Hingano, ranked No. 3 at 180, pinned Evergreen's Ariana Cavero-Santiago in the first round and a pair of forfeits accounted for the rest of SOU's points.
No. 3 Flor Parker Borrero (145 pounds) won by fall for the Geoducks, who also got technical falls from Zeita Lee (117), No. 6 Ellabelle Taylor (124), Haley Le (138) and No. 5 Shannon Workinger (160). They improved to 3-0 on the season.
The Raiders were without nationally-ranked individuals in three weight classes.
They wrestle next at the North Central Open in Naperville, Ill., on Dec. 14.
