ASHLAND – For the first time in department history, every Southern Oregon University athletics program achieved NAIA Scholar Team status when the national office announced the 2024-25 honorees this week.
To earn the distinction, a team's full roster must combine for a grade-point average of 3.0 or better during the academic calendar year. After establishing a school record with 15 NAIA Scholar Teams in 2023-24, the Raiders did one better last season.
SOU's 2024-25 academic resume also included a new high of 78 NAIA Scholar Athletes, a title that goes to individuals with cumulative GPAs of 3.5 or better after attending their institutions for at least one full year.
