PORTLAND – No. 25-ranked Southern Oregon won its third consecutive match with a sweep of Warner Pacific, winning 25-13, 25-13, 25-7 on Thursday night at C.C. Perry Gymnasium.
Friley Curtiss led the Southern Oregon attack with nine kills at a .692 average with no errors and a block. The sophomore has 38 kills over the last three outings, including a career-high 16 in the 3-1 win over Oregon Tech on Tuesday.
Tessa Zimmermann had seven kills and two assists, Kaylie Christopher had five kills and four service aces, and Andressa Ribeiro Soares went for five kills, six assists, and a team-high eight digs.
The Raiders accumulated a season-high 13 service aces. They improved to 6-7 overall and evened out their CCC record to 3-3.
Junior setter Annie Hite posted 10 assists, three service aces, and two kills, while Mia Jaeger added nine assists of her own.
Warner Pacific remained winless to start the season at 0-6 overall and 0-5 in conference play. They make their trip to Southern Oregon next month, first heading to Klamath Falls on Oct. 17, then to Ashland on Oct. 18.
The Raiders are back in Lithia Motors Pavilion to face Bushnell on Sep. 26 and Corban — who jumped back into the No. 3-overall spot — on Sept. 27.
