PORTLAND – A fast start propelled the Southern Oregon women's basketball team to a 75-49 win against Warner Pacific on Thursday night at Perry Gymnasium, making the Raiders 7-3 in the Cascade Conference at the halfway point of the schedule.

Eliza DiGiulio scored 17 and freshman forward
Lydia Traore registered a double-double with 10 points, 10 boards and two blocked shots in her first career start, helping the Raiders (12-6 overall) control the interior with a 40-18 advantage in paint points.
Playing its fourth game in seven days, SOU put up 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting in the first quarter and went into halftime with a 35-17 lead. DiGiulio went 5-of-7 in the first half and led her team to a 44% shooting night, its best yet in CCC play.
The Knights (8-8, 4-5) coughed up 21 turnovers and surrendered 19 offensive rebounds, eight of which went to Traore. Discrepancies in both categories gave the Raiders 19 more field-goal attempts than WPU.
Sage Winslow scored 10 points,
Taylee Clements shot 3-of-6 from 3-point range to match
Bridgette McIntyre with nine, and
Alex Bullock hit 3-of-4 from the field to add eight for SOU.
Keeley Wright chipped in six points, six rebounds and four assists.
Four Raiders collected two steals apiece: Clements, McIntyre, Winslow and
Jenika Zurita.
Gracie Arnold joined Traore with a pair of blocked shots.
KJ Custer's 12 points paced WPU, which shot 38% from the field.
The Raiders have the weekend off before traveling Jan. 23 to Evergreen (Wash.) and Jan. 24 to Northwest (Wash.).
