ASHLAND – Kat Hingano, Jade Morales, Briseis Serrano and Holland Wieber each won by fall as the No. 12-ranked Southern Oregon women's wrestling team celebrated a successful senior day with a 38-8 thumping of Westcliff (Calif.) on Friday at Bob Riehm Arena.

The Raiders (4-4 overall) made quick work of the Warriors by recording each of their pins in the first round. They also got a first-round technical fall from No. 11-ranked Makayla Correa, who rang up an 11-0 defeat of Kaelyn Siason at 138.

The most consequential win of the dual, however, came by 8-4 decision from 124-pounder Myia Weiler in an upset of the lone nationally-ranked wrestler in Westcliff's lineup, No. 13 Vanessa Alvarado.

Serrano, ranked No. 14 at 117 pounds, preceded that effort with a pin of Savannah Sequeira. The No. 13-ranked Morales (131) followed it by finishing off Jaselle Martinez in 1:11. Correa's tech and Wieber's 32-second pin of Jeslyn Ledezma at 145 made the score 27-5, and the No. 3-ranked Hingano (180) later bumped her record to 18-3 with a 50-second job against Genesis Rivera.

Lia Ferreira (103) and Sialafua Polamalu (207) accepted forfeits. Seniors Maisie Bandel-Ramirez and Mylei Seigla checked in with exhibition victories.

The win was the first in front of a home crowd for first-year head coach Katlyn Monroe.

The Raiders compete next on Feb. 1 at Eastern Oregon's Mountaineer Open and will go head-to-head against the Mountaineers Feb. 6 in Springfield.
