KIRKLAND, Wash. — Bridgette McIntyre scored a season-high 27 points and the Southern Oregon University women's basketball team completed the weekend sweep in an 85-68 win over Northwest (Wash.) on Saturday evening at the Kristi Brodin Pavilion.
It was McIntyre's fifth 20-plus-point performance of the year, doing so in accustomed fashion: hitting a career-high seven 3-pointers on 50% accuracy, tying for the third most made 3s in a game in SOU history. She finished 10-of-17 from the field with six assists, three rebounds, and three steals, helping the Raiders improve to 14-6 overall and 9-3 in the Cascade Conference.
The Raiders held a 62-44 point lead with five minutes remaining in the third before a pair of baskets from Taimane Faleafine-Auwae began an Eagles' 13-0 run to end the period.
Taylee Clements made a 3 to start the fourth quarter and Keeley Wright finished in the paint two minutes later, extending the SOU lead back to 10, but Northwest cashed in on its own 3-pointer and layup to bring the margin back to five with 6:39 remaining in the game. Lydia Traore sank two free throws that started a 13-0 Raider run, quelling any chance of an NU comeback.
Traore tallied 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting with six boards and two blocks. Sage Winslow had 10 points with six rebounds and five steals, and Eliza DiGiulio posted 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Wright had nine points, six assists, five steals, and three rebounds. Winslow and Wright accounted for 10 of SOU's 17 steals.
SOU finished the night shooting 52% from the field to eclipse 80 points for the fourth time this season. They're tied for third in the conference standings with Corban and Oregon Tech, while the Eagles (2-10, 6-14) fell to ninth.
Ella Whitaker led Northwest with 13 points, and Jersey McGehee and Ellie Bost had 11 apiece.
McIntyre ended the road trip scoring 49 points while shooting at a 62% clip and 50% from behind the arc.
They're back in Ashland next weekend, taking on Walla Walla (Wash.) on Friday at noon and No. 13 Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) on Saturday at 3 p.m.
