ASHLAND — Southern Oregon forced 44 turnovers and put up 47 more shots than Walla Walla (Wash.) in a 91-26 Cascade Conference win in front of over 600 elementary-school students on Friday afternoon at Lithia Motors Pavilion.
Freshman guard Sage Winslow had team-highs of 17 points, six rebounds and five steals to lead the Raiders (15-6 overall, 10-3 CCC), who hit 10 of their 12 3-pointers in the first half. She was 6-of-13 from the floor and 2-of-5 from behind the arc.
Eliza DiGiulio scored 15 points, going 5-of-7 from the field with four 3-pointers, three boards and two assists, and Gracie Arnold led all bench scorers, finishing with a career-high 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting. Bridgette McIntyre and Jenika Zurita both added 11 points and five assists apiece.
The Raiders led 50-16 at halftime and outscored the Wolves 30-2 to start the second half, taking an 81-18 lead with 5:33 left in the fourth. They gave up just two points in the third quarter while holding WWU to 1-of-11 shooting from the field.
Ali Stevens matched her career-high in points, scoring eight on 4-of-5 shooting, and Lydia Traore had four points with a game-high eight rebounds as the Raiders led the advantage on the glass 46-35.
SOU finished with 52 points off turnovers, 27 off the fast break and 21 second chance points.
Walla Walla, which was without leading scorer Jaylo Bello, fell to 3-16 and 1-12 in the CCC. Aly Haslam scored 11 points and Delaney Gunther added seven for the Wolves.
The Raiders extended their win streak to four, outscoring opponents by an average of 43.5 points in that span. They're now one of the five three-loss teams in the Cascade Conference standings.
They play one of those three-loss teams on Saturday in No. 12 Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) at 3 p.m.
