ASHLAND – The Cascade Conference occupied the top three positions of Wednesday's latest NAIA Top 25 softball coaches' poll, which had Southern Oregon at No. 3.

The Raiders (21-9 overall, 4-5 CCC) received a plurality of first-place votes – five of 16 in total – but were supplanted at the top by Eastern Oregon (19-3, 8-1), which took over No. 1 for the first time in program history. Oregon Tech (23-3, 8-1) climbed from No. 4 to No. 2.

That CCC trio was among five teams that collected multiple first-place votes. No. 4 Oklahoma City (19-3) and No. 6 Southeastern (Fla.) (25-3) were the others.

British Columbia (14-8, 5-1), which took two of three CCC games at SOU last week, nearly cracked the Top 25 at No. 28 overall. College of Idaho (12-10, 1-5) also continued to receive votes.

The Raiders wrap up the first half of the conference schedule this weekend at Corban (2-16, 2-7).
