COMPLETE ALL-CCC AWARDS LIST
ASHLAND –
Bryce Dyer was named the Cascade Conference Defensive Player of the Year,
Gio Evanson made the All-CCC team, and
Elijah Jackson received honorable mention for Southern Oregon when the CCC men's basketball awards list was released on Wednesday.
Dyer, a 6-foot-5 junior forward from Medford, became the first Raider to earn top defensive honors in a full season since NAIA Player of the Year Shea Washington in 2005-06. He averaged 9.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and a steal in conference play, where he also was a 50% shooter from 3-point range. While tasked with top defensive assignments, he led the CCC in total rebounds (221) for the second year in a row and had four double-doubles.
An All-CCC selection a season ago, Dyer earned honorable mention for 2025-26.
Evanson, a sophomore guard, was among 15 All-CCC selections. The Ridgefield, Wash., product enjoyed a breakout season in which he averaged 16.3 points in conference play to lead the Raiders and rank ninth in the circuit, shooting 50% from the field, 43% from 3 and 83% at the free-throw line. He added 3.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game, solidifying his case with go-ahead buckets in the final minutes of a handful of SOU wins.
Jackson, also an All-CCC honoree last year, received honorable mention with averages of 15.1 points, 3.1 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 0.7 steals. In his final season on the court, the senior guard scored in double figures 26 times and joined SOU's 1,000-point club. On the program's all-time lists, he landed at No. 17 in points (1,257), No. 7 in 3-point makes (174) and No. 18 in assists (246).
The Raiders went 17-12 overall and finished third in the CCC standings at 14-6. They're considered a longshot to receive an at-large bid when the NAIA National Tournament field is announced on Thursday.
Oregon Tech's Jackson Cooper was voted Player of the Year and Eastern Oregon's Chris Kemp took home Coach of the Year honors.
