EUGENE — The No. 4-ranked Southern Oregon beach volleyball team split Cascade Conference duals, losing 3-2 to No. 2 Corban, before winning 3-2 against Bushnell on Friday at the Bushnell/Grace Beach Courts. 

Two Raider pairs came through in three-set victories against Corban. No. 2 pair Kira Sandoval and Molly Grace dropped their first set 17-21 before rallying back with convincing 21-10 and 15-7 set wins. No. 5 pair Natalie Perez and Kendal Hadwick earned a tough match win, going 23-21, 19-21 and 15-10. 

In the Bushnell dual, Sandoval and Grace put SOU on the board first with a straight set win, 21-12 and 21-13, before the Beacons won two straight matches. Perez and Hawick (21-17, 21-19) and the No. 3 pair of Andressa Ribeiro Soares and Maelle Garon (21-18, 21-10) brought the Raiders back ahead with two more straight set victories. 

The Raiders improved to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in CCC play. They face Bushnell again on Saturday at 12 p.m.
