The Southern Oregon men's basketball team will host its annual alumni game Saturday at 4 p.m.

The alumni game will give 13th-year head coach Brian McDermott a final look at his team before they open up the regular season Nov. 8 at Pacific Union.

This year's alumni team will feature 13 former Raiders, including Matt Cowell, T.J. Caughell, Hamilton Barnes, Ryan Gabel and Travis Elam.

The 2008-09 edition of the Raiders includes senios Kory Mahr, Josh McDermott (Ashland, Ore./Ashland), Eli Thornton (Victorville, Calif./Victorville) and Ryon Pool (Albany, Ore./West Albany).

All four of the seniors averaged over five points per-game last year. Pool is the top returning scorer at 11 points, but is out until mid-December.

McDermott averaged 8.6 points, while Mohr went for 7.1 points and Thornton averaged 5.9.

The Raiders will play their first regular season home games Nov. 28-29 during the annual Thanksgiving Weekend Tournament.
