SOU Men Improve to 2-2

The Southern Oregon men's basketball team had six players score in double-digits as they scored an 88-77 victory over Bethany tonight in Klamath Falls.

SOU is now 2-2 on the season. Bethany fell to 2-4 overall. SOU travels back to Klamath Falls Tuesday night for a non-conference game with Oregon Tech.

Jarrad Childs (Paso Robles, Calif./Paso Robles) led the Raiders with 15 points and also had a game-high six steals. Eli Thornton (Victorville, Calif./Victorville) finished with 14 points, while Trevor McCay (Petersburg, Alaska/Petersburg) had 13 points, Kory Mahr and Austin Wolfer (Woodburn, Ore./Woodburn) finished with 12 points and Humphrey Jackson (Redwood City, Calif./Woodside) had 10 points. Jackson also had seven assists.

The Raiders got it done on the defensive end early, holding Bethany to 38 percent shooting in the first half to take a 44-33 halftime lead. SOU then shot 50 percent in the second half to put the game away.

Kenny Thompson had 28 points to lead Bethany.
