Fresno Pacific forced 25 Southern Oregon turnovers as the Sunbirds scored a 75-59 victory tonight in Fresno, Calif.

Southern Oregon dropped to 1-1 overall and will travel to Cal Maritime tomorrow.

Senior Ryan Staker (Las Vegas, Nevada/Centennial) turned in a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Staker went 7-for-14 from the field, but just 2-for-6 from the free throw line. Humphrey Jackson (Redwood City, Calif./Woodside) added 15 points on 6-for-8 shooting and David Grant (Seattle, Wash./Seattle Roosevelt) added 11 points.

Fresno Pacific got 17 points from both Jesse Childs and Todd Brown.

A Staker layup made tied the score at 5-5 four minutes into the game, but Fresno Pacific quickly pulled away and led 38-27 at the half and continue to pull away in the second half.
