Big Run Pushes Warner Past SOU

Warner Pacific ended the game on a 26-7 run as the 14th-ranked Knights scored a 74-60 victory over the Southern Oregon men tonight at McNeal Pavilion.

Warner Pacific improved to 18-6 overall and 11-5 in Cascade Conference play. Southern Oregon dropped to 8-17 overall and 6-10 in conference action.

Adam Moore led Warner Pacific with 19 points. Tom Higgins had 12 points for the Knights.

Jarrad Childs (Paso Robles, Calif./Paso Robles) led Southern Oregon with 15 points and Josh McDermott (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) finished with 11 points.

After trailing 37-35 at the half, the Raiders came out in the second half and led 45-41 on a pair of free throws by junior Austin Wolfer (Woodburn, Ore./Woodburn). An Eli Thornton (Victorville, Calif./Victorville) layup had the Raiders up 51-45 with 13:41 to play. The lead was five at 53-48 with 12:12 to play when the Knights took off.

The Knights finished the game on a 26-7 run to stay in the conference title hunt.

SOU shot 30 percent in the second half from the field and a 1-for-7 effort from the 3-point land.

The Raiders host arch-rival Oregon Tech Tuesday night at McNeal Pavilion.
