Southern Oregon senior
Stephanie Miller (Medford, Ore./North Medford)'s NAIA Automatic Qualifying javelin throw highlighted SOU's day at the Artie Sullivan Invitational today at Raider Stadium.
Miller easily won the javelin with a throw of 147-07, a mark that earns the senior a return trip to the NAIA National Championships. Miller's throw was a personal best and ranks as the fifth best throw in school history. The throw was nearly 22 feet farther than the second place toss.
Antwun Baker (North Hollywood, Calif./North Hollywood) was a double winner for the Raiders. Baker won the 200 with a time of 22.64. Baker also led the Raiders' 4 x 400 relay team to victory with a time of 3:30.19.
Overall the Raiders won eight events on the day.
Senior
Cameron Kreuz (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) won the 1,500 in a time of 4:01.22 and edged teammate
Levi Roudebush (Grants Pass, Ore./North Valley) who finished in 4:04.52.
Jared Pederson won the 110 hurdles in 16.71,
Akeem Jackson (/) won the long jump with a leap of 22-04 and
Katelyn Alley (Culver, Ore./Culver) won the 1,500 in 5:05.85. The SOU men also won the 4 x 100.
The Raiders travel to U.C. Davis next Saturday.
