Southern Oregon senior
Cameron Kreuz (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) set a school record in the 1,500 at Saturday's Chico State Invitational.
Kreuz improved his NAIA Automatic time with a sixth place finish in a blazing fast 1,500 race. Kreuz finished in 3:48.50, still seven seconds off the winning time of 3:41.34 by Adidas Running Club's Scott Bauhs.
The previous school record was 3:49.33, set by Trevor Palmer in 2007.
SOU's
Levi Roudebush (Grants Pass, Ore./North Valley) earned an NAIA Provisional mark in the 800 with a fifth place finish in 1:54.04.
The Raiders also got victories by
Stephanie Miller (Medford, Ore./North Medford) and
Matt Musselman (Wilderville, Ore./Hidden Valley) in the javelin events. Miller won the women's event with a throw of 141-04 - her second longest throw of the year. Musselman won the men's event with a heave of 160-04.
Chenin Young (Upland, Calif./Upland) turned in a pair of top five finishes. Young finished second in the 100 hurdles in 15.95 and fourth in the triple jump in 33-04.
Chris Paterson (Forest Grove, Ore./Forest Grove) finished second in the men's 3,000 steeplechase in 9:54.27.
Junior
Antwun Baker (North Hollywood, Calif./North Hollywood) again neared the NAIA Provisional standard in the 100 and 200. Baker finished third in the 100 (10.86) and the 200 (22.12).
Other highlights included
Rosie Converse (Colorado Springs, Colo./Pine Creek) finishing fourth in the high jump (4-11),
Jamie Wells (Eagle Point, Ore./Eagle Point) finishing fourth in the pole vault (10-06) and
Adriana Ricks (Sacramento, Calif./Monterey Trail) finishing fourth in the long jump (17-01.50).
