Southern Oregon senior
Cameron Kreuz (Portland, Ore./Lincoln) and junior
Antwun Baker (North Hollywood, Calif./North Hollywood) each scored their second victories during the final day of the Cascade Conference Track and Field Championships held at Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham.
Kreuz, who won the 1,500 on Friday, came away with the 800 title today. Kreuz won the event with an NAIA Automatic time of 1:51.95. Kreuz was also voted the Conference's Track Athlete of the Meet.
Baker, who set a championship record with his victory in the 100 Friday night, won today's 200 in 22.10.
In the team race, Concordia ran away with both the men's and women's titles. Southern Oregon finished third on the men's side and fifth on the women's side.
In the men's 5,000, SOU took home four of the top eight spots. Joe Rath (14:59.96) and
David Laney (Portland, Ore./Central Catholic) (15:02.93) both broke the previous conference championship mark, but finished second and third.
Chris Paterson (Forest Grove, Ore./Forest Grove) finished fifth in 15:21.66 and
Ryan Ghelfi (Redding, Calif./Redding Adventist) finished sixth in 15:24.53.
On the women's side Saturday, senior
Stephanie Miller (Medford, Ore./North Medford) finished third in the javelin with a throw of 140-05 and
Chenin Young (Upland, Calif./Upland) finished fourth in the triple jump (32-11).
The Raiders are now off until the NAIA Championships May 21-23.
