It's do or die time for the Southern Oregon men's basketball team as they enter the final weekend of Cascade Conference play.
The Raiders (11-14, 3-13) travel to Warner Pacific (19-7, 11-5) Friday and Concordia (15-12, 5-11) Saturday, needing to win both games for a chance at the playoffs.
Concordia and College of Idaho (9-14, 5-11) are tied for the final two playoff spots, with SOU two games back. Concordia finishes with SOU and Oregon Tech, while College of Idaho wraps up the season at home against Northwest and Evergreen State.
Southern Oregon fell to Warner Pacific (78-75) and Concordia (81-64) earlier in the year in Ashland.
The Raiders have dropped four-straight games as they head into the final weekend.
In last Saturday's setback to Oregon Tech, the Raiders got a career-game out of junior
Armani Jackson (Hercules, Calif./Pinole Valley). Jackson went for a career-best 18 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Southern Oregon will close out the 2009-10 season with three players scoring in double-digits. Senior
Ryan Staker (Las Vegas, Nevada/Centennial) leads the trio with 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds.
Jarrad Childs (Paso Robles, Calif./Paso Robles) is averaging 12.1 points and
Humphrey Jackson (Redwood City, Calif./Woodside) is averaging 11.3 points.
