The Southern Oregon men overcame 15 3-pointers by Corban to score a 97-90 overtime victory tonight at McNeal Pavilion.
The Raiders are now 13-9 overall and 6-6 in Cascade Conference play. Southern Oregon hosts Northwest Christian tomorrow at 7:30. Corban dropped to 14-10 overall and 4-8 in league action.
Kyle Tedder (Coos Bay, Ore./Marshfield) and
Jordan Highland (Tualatin, Ore./Tualatin) led the Raider attack. Tedder led all scorers with 26 points and four 3-pointers. Highland finished with 24 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Dex Daum (Fallon, Nev./Churchill) came off the bench for 15 points.
Jordan Carter and Ian Logan both had 20 points for Corban.
Corban came out on fire making nine of 15 3-pointers (60 percent) in the first half to hold a 47-42 halftime lead.
At one point in the second half, Corban had made 14 of 24 3-pointers.
But they finally went cold from outside and the Raiders crept back in the game.
A layup by Highland gave the Raiders their first lead of the half at 64-63 with 10:15 to play. A dunk by Highland and a 3-pointer by
Joe White (Springfield, Ore./Thurston) gave SOU a 78-73 lead with just under four minutes to play.
Corban came back and tied it at 78-78 and neither team led by more then three for the rest of regulation.
In overtime, Tedder scored five of SOU's first seven points for a 90-83 lead and that would be enough as Corban never got closer then five points for the rest of the way.
