The Southern Oregon men shot 54 percent from the field for the game and scored an easy 85-51 non-conference victory over Simpson tonight at McNeal Pavilion.

Southern Oregon improved to 10-6 on the season will host Evergreen State Friday night in Cascade Conference matchup at 5:30. Simpson dropped to 1-16 on the season.

Jordan Highland (Tualatin, Ore./Tualatin) led the Raiders with 15 points and nine rebounds. Austin Wolfer (Woodburn, Ore./Woodburn) had 13 points and Kellen Hawley (Cordova, Alaska/Cordova) finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Pat Mango led Simpson with 18 points.

Sam Osofsky (Westwood, Calif./Westwood) came off the bench to give the Raiders some breathing room early on, hitting on a pair of 3-pointers for a 21-11 SOU advantage with 10:20 remaining in the first half. A 3-pointer by Trevor McCay (Petersburg, Alaska/Petersburg) pushed the lead to 35-21 and the Raiders cruised to a 40-27 advantage at halftime thanks to shooting 53.6 percent.

SOU started the second half on fire and had the lead up to 34 at 70-36 on a jumper by Scott Tiefenthaler (Spanaway, Wash./Bethel).

The Raiders held Simpson to 27 percent shooting in the second half.
