OAKLAND, Calif. – Southern Oregon picked up its sixth win in its last seven games, defeating Holy Names 75-73 in nonconference men's basketball action Saturday night.
With the win, Southern Oregon improved to 8-4 overall this season. The Raiders return to action tomorrow afternoon, when they visit California Maritime at 2 p.m.
Southern Oregon shot 44.4 percent (24-of-54) from the field in the game, including 4-of-10 from beyond the arc.
Taylor Roos (Salem, Ore./Sprague) scored 16 points to lead a group of four Raiders that reached double-figures.
Kyle Tedder (Coos Bay, Ore./Marshfield) finished with 15 points, including a perfect 8-of-8 from the free throw line, to go with six assists.
Terriel Thomas (Boise, Idaho/Borah) added 13 points and
Eric Thompson (Roseburg, Ore./Roseburg) tallied 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds in the win.
Karlos Grier scored a game-high 22 points, including five three-pointers for the Hawks. David Scott finished with 20 points and Fabian Lopez added 15 in the loss.
