Stuck in a four-team race for the final three playoff spots, the Southern Oregon men wrap up the regular season at home this weekend.
The Raiders (14-13, 6-10) host Warner Pacific (18-8, 11-5) Friday night and Concordia (11-16, 5-11) Saturday night at Riehm Arena. The games tip at 7:30 both nights.
Southern Oregon currently sits in sixth place in the conference standings, with the top eight teams going to the conference playoffs. Corban is a half-game back at 6-11, while Concordia and Evergreen are tied for the eighth spot at 5-11.
The Raiders have struggled as of late, dropping four of five, but are coming off an impressive performance against 10th-ranked Oregon Tech last weekend before falling 68-58.
Junior
Jordan Highland (Tualatin, Ore./Tualatin) continues his impressive campaign. Highland now ranks second in the conference in scoring at 16.3 per game, 10th in rebounding at 6.1 per game and 11th in field goal percentage at .543.
Saturday night will also be senior night for the SOU men, as
Trevor McCay (Petersburg, Alaska/Petersburg),
Drew Herrera (Medford, Ore./North Medford),
Armani Jackson (Hercules, Calif./Pinole Valley),
Kellen Hawley (Cordova, Alaska/Cordova) and
Austin Wolfer (Woodburn, Ore./Woodburn) will play their last regular season home games.
Warner Pacific comes into Friday's game on fire, winning 10 of their last 11. In the first matchup between the Raiders and Knights in Portland, Southern Oregon came out on fire and cruised to a 77-46 victory.
