Jordan Highland (Tualatin, Ore./Tualatin) had a game-high 17 points as the Southern Oregon men scored a 57-52 non-conference victory over Portland Bible tonight at Bob Riehm Arena.
Southern Oregon improved to 14-1 overall and will play host to arch-rival and 10th-ranked Oregon Tech Saturday night at 7:30.
Highland scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half to lead the Raiders.
Armani Jackson (Hercules, Calif./Pinole Valley) had a season-high 10 points.
Tim Mahan had 13 points for the Wildcats.
Portland Bible, who had just six players dress for the game, kept the game close by running the shot clock down to single digits on every possession. The Raiders made 52 percent of their shots in the first half, but still managed only to be tied at 24-24 at the halftime buzzer.
The Wildcats came on in the second half and pushed the lead to 40-36 before Highland scored five of SOU's next seven points to put the Raiders up 43-40 and the Raiders would stay in control for the rest of the game.
