FOREST GROVE – Second-ranked Southern Oregon finished with three top-four finishers at Sunday's Pacific Boxer open.

Reed Tennyson (Dillingham, Alaska/Dillingham) led the way with a second-place finish in the 174-pound bracket. Tennyson knocked off Central Washington's Steven Alfi in an 11-3 victory and took down Pacific's Michael Tyner in the semifinals. He fell to Oregon State's Zac Cardwell in a 6-1 decision during the championship match.

Hank Turner (Eugene, Ore./Churchill) placed third in 197, falling in his first-round matchup before winning his next three bouts. Turner earned an injury default victory in the first consolation match before earning a 10-2 major decision victory over Simon Fraser's Ryan Yrevrchin in the consolation semifinals. He downed Pacific's Chris Harlin in a 6-3 decision in the third place match.

Tanner Canaday (Myrtle Point, Ore./Myrtle Point) gave the Raiders a fourth-place finish in the 149. He knocked off Max Welsh of Highline Community College 11-2 in the quarterfinals before dropping a 5-1 decision to unattached wrestler Steve Spearman in the semifinals. Canaday won by disqualification to advance to the third-place match, where Jimmy Wilson defeated him by a 7-3 decision.

Southern Oregon returns to action Feb. 1, when the Raiders will travel to Atherton for a 7 p.m. dual against Menlo.
