No. 4 Raiders win seventh straight at Simpson, 81-59

Box Score REDDING, Calif. – The Southern Oregon University men's basketball will enter Cascade Conference play with its win streak intact.

The fourth-ranked Raiders won their seventh straight Monday night, 81-59 at Simpson University, behind 25 points and 10 rebounds from Eric Thompson (Roseburg, Ore./Roseburg) and a fourth straight double-double for David Sturner (Philomath, Ore./Philomath) (12 points, 12 rebounds).

With a record of 9-1, the Raiders begin circuit action Friday and Saturday at Bob Riehm Arena against Concordia and Warner Pacific. Both games are scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m.

Jeff Bush (West Linn, Ore./West Linn), the NAIA's leader in assists, was solid again with 11 points and six assists. Jacob Kaler (Camas, Wash./Camas Valley) and Jordan West (Gymea Bay, Australia/Port Hacking) added nine points apiece off the bench.

The Raiders went 8-for-19 from 3-point range as Thompson made all three of his tries in the first half. He also blocked three shots and Sturner blocked two.

Dalton Thacker scored 17 points to lead Simpson, which dropped to 1-9.
