Box Score PORTLAND – The Southern Oregon University men's basketball team still hasn't solved Bart Valentine Court.

The 14th-ranked Raiders lost their fifth straight game there against the Warner Pacific Knights on Friday night, 69-54, and for the 11th time in 12 games.

This time it was their shooting touch that failed to make the trip: they missed 13 of their first 14 shots, setting the tone for an abysmal 25.4-percent showing from the floor and 3-for-34 shooting from 3-point range against the Knights' zone defense.

Marcus Moore took advantage with a season-high 25 points and, with the Raiders' offensive efforts keeping WPC ahead all night, he put them away. His long 3-pointer put the Knights up 50-42 with 6:45 left, then another one made it 56-46 two minutes later and started an 11-0 dagger of a run.

SOU (22-7 overall, 11-6 Cascade Conference) had a chance to nail down the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament with a win thanks to Oregon Tech's 68-64 upset at third-place Concordia. Now they'll have to do it against the Cavaliers (21-8, 10-7) in the last game of the regular season on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The Knights improved to 15-14 and 9-8.

When the night began, SOU ranked 11th in the NAIA and led the CCC in 3-point percentage (38.9).

The only thing that kept the Raiders in the game were their 27 offensive rebounds – they had a 50-27 edge overall – helping them to a 26-2 advantage in second-chance points.

David Sturner (Philomath, Ore./Philomath) was the most active, recording 13 points and 11 rebounds. With 13 points, Jordan West (Gymea Bay, Australia/Port Hacking) was the only player to score above his season average. He went 8-for-8 from the line in the first half and SOU went 15-for-16.

The Raiders recorded a season-low seven assists and turned it over 17 times.

Doug Thomas chipped in 10 points for WPC, which led just 26-24 at half despite SOU's 4-for-21 effort from the field.
