Southern Oregon women's soccer defender Trinity Rhoades and the Raider men's team were recognized by the Cascade Conference on Monday after perfect weekends for both squads in Ashland.

Rhoades was voted the CCC Red Lion Defensive Player of the Week. The junior from Las Vegas was on the back line for all 90 minutes of SOU's 2-0 shutout against defending CCC co-champion Carroll (Mont.) on Friday, when the Saints were held to just two shots on goal. In Sunday's 3-1 win over Providence (Mont.), she recorded her first assist and made a save on what would have been an equalizer in the 43rd minute, clearing a ball just inches off the goal line.

The 23rd-ranked Raider women improved to 5-2-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the CCC heading into Sunday's game at Rocky Mountain (Mont.).

The Raider men garnered CCC Under Armour Team of the Week kudos after defeating Carroll, 2-1, and Providence, 2-0. They went to 4-4 overall and 2-1 in CCC play while also extending their CCC home unbeaten streak to 15 games.

The only goal they gave up on the weekend was a penalty kick. Against Carroll, Zak Woolley assisted Adrian Villegas for one score and was assisted by Kelly Gieber for another. Against Providence, Michael Miller and Sam Walker were credited with assists of Renee Resendez's go-ahead goal in the 59th minute and Alan Gaytan added the exclamation point with 12 seconds to go.

SOU will play Friday at Walla Walla (Wash.) and Sunday at Rocky.
