Sixth-ranked host Menlo tops the standings with 60 points, just ahead of defending champion and 14th-ranked Embry-Riddle with 58 ½.
Coon – last year's second-place CCC finisher and the current No. 15 133-pounder in the NAIA – breezed into his semifinal matchup with No. 6 Blaysen Terukina of Menlo, a defending conference champ. He pinned his first-round opponent, Sunny Luna of Vanguard, in 1:14, and took an 8-4 decision from Providence's Clayton Gilliam to bring his season record to 17-8.

Talavera, making his first appearance at the tournament with a No. 7 national ranking, will meet No. 15 Sheldon Cole of Embry-Riddle in the semifinals. He eked out a 2-1 first-round win over Providence's Boon Guilio before downing Life Pacific's Noel Magallanes, 9-1.
