ASHLAND – Happy to turn the page on a rocky month of November, the Southern Oregon men's basketball team's search for consistency continues at home this week with two tough Cascade Conference matchups.

The Raiders (3-6 overall, 0-1 CCC) will take the floor at 7:30 p.m. Friday against Eastern Oregon (5-3, 0-1) and 5 p.m. Saturday against No. 15-ranked College of Idaho (7-2, 0-1) inside Lithia Motors Pavilion – an ideal time and place to secure their first back-to-back wins.

FAN POLICY: All fans 12 and older planning to attend are subject to SOU's vaccination policy, which requires proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 or a negative test taken no more than 48 hours prior to entry. Photo ID must be presented for verification. Per state mandate, non-participants will also be required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status.

NAIA TOP 25: This week's latest edition of the NAIA coaches' poll saw C of I move up three spots to No. 15 and Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) down one spot to No. 20. No other CCC teams received votes and Saint Francis (Ind.) retained the No. 1 ranking. The next poll will be released Dec. 15.

BRIEFLY:
Tez Allen ranks among the CCC leaders in steals (1.7, 5th), rebounds (7.0, 9th) and assists (3.0, 13th). It's the third year in a row he's been top-15 in all three categories.
Josh Meyer left three minutes into Tuesday's loss at Simpson (Calif.) due to injury and didn't return. He'd entered the night as the Raiders' leader in points (16.1) and rebounds (8.8) and had hit double figures in scoring seven of eight games.
Redshirt-freshman post Joe Juhala is the only Raider with more than 50 attempts who is shooting better than 47 percent from the field. At 59.3, he's No. 6 on the CCC leaderboard and has bumped his scoring average to 10.1.
In the Raiders' wins, they've shot 49 percent from the field combined. In their losses, they've shot 39 percent. Their overall mark of 42 percent.
Dating back to the start of the 2018-19 season, the Raiders have won 31 of the last 33 games in which they've hit 10 or more 3-pointers. They've been held to eight or fewer makes in all but two outings this season.

ABOUT EASTERN OREGON: The Mountaineers had a five-point lead with three minutes left in a CCC-opening 64-61 loss at College of Idaho, which was the continuation of an impressive start under interim head coach Chris Kemp. Transfers Phillip Malatare (17.9 points, 5.8 rebounds) and Xavier Lovelace (12.6 points, 8.0 rebounds) have carried the scoring load since the loss of leading scorer Max McCullough to injury. The Raiders have swept the last two season series with EOU and won eight of the last nine matchups in Ashland.

ABOUT COLLEGE OF IDAHO: As usual, the Yotes will bring to town a zone defense that is making life difficult on opponents – holding them to 64.9 points per game and 43-percent shooting. Their strong start is a credit to late-game execution, as they've pulled out four of their wins by three points or less. A pair of guards – senior Ricardo Time (10.3 points) and freshman Drew Wyman (9.4 points) – are their go-to players offensively. They swept the season series with SOU while going unbeaten through league play in 2019-20 but had lost in four of their previous five trips to Ashland.
