COMPLETE MEET RESULTS

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Southern Oregon freshman Abi Stevens doubled up on All-America accolades and junior Adam O'Brien reserved a spot on the podium Saturday as the Raiders completed a successful stay at the NAIA Indoor Championships inside the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.

Stevens, who placed fourth in Thursday's pentathlon, added a sixth-place finish in the high jump by clearing 5 feet 6 ¼ inches. O'Brien cleared 15-5 in the pole vault to take eighth place, adding to the All-America plaque collection he started last spring by placing seventh at the NAIA Outdoor Championships.

Stevens became SOU's first women's All-American in the high jump since Melanie Byrne placed sixth at the 1989 NAIA Outdoor Championships. O'Brien became SOU's fourth men's two-time All-American in the pole vault.

Stevens nearly matched the mark of 5-6 ½ that made her the No. 4 seed coming into the meet. She finished in a three-way tie for the fourth-highest clearance but dropped to sixth place on criteria.

O'Brien's mark was 1 ½ inches better than the one he posted last month to earn the No. 10 seed. He finished in a three-way tie for the seventh-highest clearance.

The Raider track and field team will make its outdoor debut next Saturday in Eugene at the Lane Invitational.
